(What is ARP?
ARP (AddressResolutionProtocol) address resolution protocol is used to convert a computer's network IP address into a physical MAC address. The basic function of the ARP protocol is to query the MAC address of the solution device through the IP address of the solution device to ensure smooth communication.
How dangerous is ARP virus?
When a host in the LAN is infected with the ARP virus, the virus pretends to be the gateway IP-MAC information, defrauds other hosts in the LAN, and then intercepts the data sent to the gateway, causing the network to be intermittent.
The ARP virus is extremely harmful, and it will seriously lead to the leakage of user privacy and confidential information in the local area network, such as user name, password, chat history, email content and other private information.
The solution to ARP protection in Internet cafes is two-way binding. The router binds the IP-MAC information of the client, and the same client binds the IP-MAC information of the router.
Now there are some so-called automatic protection tools, such as: Xinxiang Patrol ARP Immune Wall. Its working principle is to strengthen intranet broadcast, and then prevent the intranet from being dropped due to ARP attacks, but it is used for cluttered Internet cafes. In the network environment, the addition of intranet broadcasting is tantamount to increasing the possibility of network broadcasting storms. In some cases, such behavior is really a big deal!
Therefore, the ultimate solution for LAN ARP protection is still two-way binding.
The tool I recommend to everyone is a product of Feiyuxing, which is completely free, fool-proof installation, and starts automatically when booting.
The client does not need to set the IP-MAC information of the gateway. After installation, it will start self-running and self-binding. For details, please refer to the following instructions:
"Gateway Smart Binding Wizard 1.2 official version" function description
1. It will run automatically after installation, and add the function of self-starting/background hiding after booting.
2. Intelligently capture the gateway IP and gateway MAC, and bind the IP-MAC statically to the machine.
3. The local IP-MAC is maliciously tampered with (including the ARP virus pretending to be the gateway IP-MAC broadcast to the outside world) warning prompt.
4. Support user-defined settings for gateway IP and gateway MAC functions.
5. Support program hiding in the background and maximize system resources.
6. Support the information window prompt function after the program is running.

"Your system gateway ARP information has been corrected, please confirm whether the system is normal!"
1. The user modifies the system settings, the content contains the gateway IP-MAC information, and the "Gateway Smart Binding Wizard" warns.
2. The user's third-party software modifies the system settings, the content contains the gateway IP-MAC information, and the "Gateway Smart Binding Wizard" warns.
3. The user's network is abnormal, such as: the network is suspended, the gateway information is changed due to the change of the gateway, and the "Intelligent Binding Wizard of the Gateway" warns.
4. If the ARP virus or Trojan in the user host (ARP virus or Trojan test corrects the IP-MAC information of the host), the "Gateway Smart Binding Wizard" will warn you.
If you do not use step 1 or 2, and the system gives a warning prompt, it is recommended that you purchase genuine anti-virus software, upgrade the virus database, and scan and kill the virus on the entire computer to avoid leakage of your private information.
