(The IP address cannot be set to all 0s or all 1s. When the IP address is 0.0.0.0, it represents an unknown network. When the IP address is 255.255.255.255, it represents a broadcast to all hosts on the local network, known as a "flooding broadcast". Routers do not forward flood broadcasts.
