(In order to manage the problem that the switch cannot limit the broadcast, the VLAN technology is presented. VLAN logically divides a physical LAN into multiple broadcast domains (multiple VLANs). Hosts in a VLAN can communicate directly, but VLANs cannot communicate directly. In this way, broadcast packets are limited to one VLAN.
