(Remote Authentication Dial In User Service (radius) is a system that uses a central server that runs radius software to control access to switches with radius capabilities in the network. Radius server can be used to create a database of multiple user names / passwords with relevant permission levels for each user or group (requiring console port, telnet or web to manage users or Groups accessing the switch))
