(VPCs can simulate up to 9 virtual PCs. You can ping/traceroute these PCs, or ping/traceroute other hosts or routers in these PCs. Of course, these virtual PCs are not PCs in a complete sense. They are just applications running on Linux or windows. Only a few commands related to the network can be used. It will be very helpful in learning Cisco devices with Dynamips. It can replace the router acting as a PC in the experiment or the virtual PC using VMware. Usually, these substitutes will consume a lot of memory and CPU resources.
