(Source code introduction
Sipdroid is an open source SIP / VoIP client software, which is suitable for Android mobile phone development platform. It provides telephone communication services through SIP providers and video call services in its latest version 1.5.5 beta. It runs on the standard SIP protocol. Since the Android kernel itself does not provide SIP protocol stack, sipdroid software directly implements SIP protocol stack through JNI. It can provide VoIP services in the following networks: WLAN, 3G and edge networks. It can even talk to users such as Skype, Google Talk, MSN, Yahoo, aim and ICQ. But the premise is that you must register an account with some SIP providers (some are free and some are charged). Sipdroid strongly recommends using the PBXes SIP provider to obtain services.)
